Wife shouldnt be putting you on a budget,unless she supports you.Youre a grown up,man up and make your own decisions.
You got 2 little kids.As a man you know they come first.If the kids are taken care of in a manner you feel is appropriate and you arent damaging the family finances with fish spending,then putting you on a leash is a control issue.Got nothing to do with the fish.Its about insecurity and is a warning flag.

All this is assuming your kids dont have holes in thier shoes while youre buying more fish of course.

If one person spends a certain amount then the other person gets to also? IF you shouldnt spend $100 on something and one of you does, then youre $200 in the whole.

Sorry, that's not what I meant. My wife pays for her smokes out her disposable money, just like my fish comes out of my disposable money. BTW, my wife is a stay at home mom and hasn't worked in 8 years. Her money is really my money, but when we got married, her staying home with the kids was a big priority for us.
