I believe they are referring to scratching of the glass, but if you are unsure just email Scotch Brite for the MSDS info. I have known a few people to use scrubbies and they have always said that if they get it wet and there are no soap bubbles it's safe, if you get bubbles then the scrubbies are soap infused and no good.
