If you have gravel they love to hide in there i had some that i did not know breeded and sucked some into a filter when i was cleaning the rocks and had to get them out
Yeah I have been dying to clean the tank, but it's just those two in there, and they don't seem to want to be bothered. I think the lack of predators makes the Jag feel like he needs to defend the nest from me. I'll wait to vac the gravel until I can get a visual on the fry.
DEAD! ALL DEAD! I suck, couldn't find one fry yesterday morning after seeing them for about a week. I moved the fish to different tanks so I guess I'll have to wait for them to give it another go. (I thoroughly checked the gravel too, which is something I plan on removing if I ever decide to breed something again.)

Sorry to hear about your babies. This happened with my convicts first batch and after I thought they were all eaten, I found a few a couple days later. Really great at hiding.
