Macs can grow up to 4" and are mouth brooding bettas.
They can only produce 5 up to 10 babies per spawn.

That's exactly what they are! Snakeheads kinda reminds me bettas. Just overgrown. What kind of filteration system would you recommend for Betta Macrostoma? U.V. sterilizer is definitely needed right? I heard that they were hard to keep alive?

I don't think you need uv sterilizer with them.
I used sponge filter only.
Keep in mind, they are labyrinth fish and breath in the surface.
They do better at 6.5 to 7 ph and 78 to 80 water.
