I'm no Ichthyologist, yet, but I was under the impression that Black Arowanas were nonexistent in the wild? If not, at least they would be extremely rare? I could be totally wrong though, as this Wikipedia article states otherwise: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_arowana

/confused

I thought I'd ask you guys, see if anyone knows either way or the other for sure, no speculation please!

Thanks ahead of time for the info. guys!

Yes you are wrong.

Here is the source of your problem...

as this Wikipedia article states

The wild Black aros on every stocklist I get would disagree ...

wikipedia isnt always right

I personally dislike wikipedia very much reason being it's usually wrong.

 well most of it is wrong

Actually, wikipedia is correct. It states they are wild. Aesop was confused because wikipedia was contradicting what he thought.

Also, it says that the minimum tank size for Arowana is 450 gallons, which is much better advice than you will find elsewhere.
