Wild Caught gorillus

Wetspot was the original supplier who I requested my lfs order them from, i ordered a large group of the wild umbee from them when I heard of them getting them and the gorillus was in it, the person i bought this one from got it as a wild Columbian umbee through the same lfs from wetspot, they're about 2-2.5" when they get them

Steve Lundblad owns the wetspot and the Cichlid exchange where the wetspot get their fish from. He is a very knowledgable businessman who takes this stuff seriously. He used to oversee all the orders in and out of the Cichlid exchange and I'm willing to bet not much has changed. If they were labeled as WC umbees from the wetspot, chances are very likely they are. Steve also gets in WC fish from all over the northern part of South America. I recently purchased some gephyrum/ornatum. They also import WC green terrors of different varieties from there. The last batch of WC green terrors were mostly orange saum, but there were a few silver saum. Atromaculatum is also imported out of the wild regularly and sold at the wetspot.

The point of all this is they import many fish from a large area. It would not surprise me one bit if a different location of umbee was caught, brought back to the shipping facility, realized it was an umbee and then put in with the Rio Magdalena umbees. I'm sure the few silver saum green terrors were "pollutants" from a different catch location of green terrors, and probably mixed in the orange saums much in the same manner.
