Thank you for the info. I have just mixed Hikari biogold with Hikari blood red parrot. Dying to see the results in a few months time.

water quality is key also. Hes in my 135 thats overfiltered and gets two water changes a week. Nitrates never get above 10. Just like my oscar tank

Thats great. I also do 2 water changes a week. Just as important is plenty of oxygen. Its almost impossible to oversaturate the water. Filter bacteria uses loads of oxygen and fish do better if there is plenty for them too.

Your exactly right. theres definitely some watwr movement going on in my tank
