Sup MFK,

Went out yoyo fishing today and was on a roll. This was one of the smaller guys I caught and I decided to keep him.

Not sure what he is though, so I was wondering if I could get some help ID'ing it. It looks like a Midas Cichlid but I'm not sure, what do you guys think?

If it helps, I caught like three or more of these guys but threw them back. One of them was big and had one of those large bumps on its head.

midas are invasive in miami... I'm sure that is exactly what you've got... get some more! LOL

nice catch by the way

It makes sense, they're EVERYWHERE.

I would've gotten more, but all he's in is a 40 gallon breeder tank. =\ I have a 120 gallon that I'm DYING to setup so he might go in there later on.

Good looking little guy you got there! I wanna go just catch my fish!:D

LOL, I could start a blue gill tank:ROFL:

Yeah, way better coloration and overall appearance. You guys should've seen the others I caught. The one with the big bump on it's head, (I don't even know what you call those.) looked gorgeous, but he was too big. =\ At least 10".
