wild caught oscar getting some yellow

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Weird, he doesn't have any trace of an eye spot on his fin, and no red what so ever. He does look really tight tho. I always loved little oscars, such enthusiasm at feeding time. Maybe he'll be tame enough to pet as he gets older, the trick is to go slow and don't ever chase him. Start by hand feeding him when he comes to the top.

That is the strangest looking oscar I have ever seen. Are you SURE that is an oscar?
Astronotus ocellatus?

The eye spot on the tail is diagnostic, yours doesn't seem to have one, or is that just the angle?

No spot at all he might get the spot, alls i know is he was shipped from rio de janeiro brazil dont know if he was caught there tho. the i guy i bought it from is a good friend he bought 20 tryed selling them for 100$ needed some money so i paid him
7$ for smokes, they are all gone now accept 5 whitch are in his 280 gallon and looking sharp.

I can maybe get one more for anyone that lives in canada.

Wicked Oscar! I hope he can keep those colors ... Heck even if he doesn't his Paterns are killer anyway , I would Love to get a hold of one of those ... it is odd that he doesn't have an eye spot .. blows my mind I have never seen a O without one .
