To answer some questions these were caught in Plantation, where I catch my bait for snook and peacock fishing. They were all caught on little gold hooks and bread. I went out and caught a few more today. They tend to be slower getting to the bread than the mayans and tilapias, but are more ferocious when attacking. When I get my tank running I would definitely have lots of plants because they live in the shallow grass around the banks. I had a surprise visitor come around while I was fishing. I snapping turtle that ate a tilapia as I was reeling him in. Enjoy the pics. The last two pics are the same fish the rest are different.
