Wild caught Silver Arowanas = no drop eyes?

i have a wild caught arowana.....hes only 12" and he is beggining to have drop eye on his left....and i only feed him food that floats

My aro is about a year old, 17" ++ no dropeye signs yet............i'm hoping but I quess if we have ugly children we still have to love them. My aro is a rowdy little devil, pissed off cause it got cold brrr freezing and snowed last night.

I have yet to find substantial evidence of this.

there are really no documented researches about wether whos more suceptible to drop-eye, farm raised or wild. if this occured in the wild then that aro wont last long....nature eliminates weakness. and theres no judging from a juvenile if it will get drop-eye or not in both cases. no guarantedd prevention either. so its just a matter of luck
