I live down the road from Spring creek lol and Texas Cichlids can be found in almost every water way and body of water in Texas. My mother lives in Tyler and has informed me she catches them so she can use them for bait We have caught a breeding pair with their fry down in the Pasadena area. None of the ones we have ever caught have been food picky. We catch them for a fish store in Houston.
