hmmmm..........

well..... to breed keep the ph around 8 to 8.2 and bump your temp to like 80 degrees and you should be good, assuming all your params are good, and if its just the 3 of them in the 29 you mite be able to get away with it, but you should consider a tank with a larger footprint, maybe a 40 breeder, etc, 3-4 inches is a big fish to have in a 30 inch long by 12 inch wide tank (same as a 20 long), especially if they truly are "wild".

They certainly will breed in there...follow the instructions above regarding water temp etc...also I have found that with a sand substrate and some nice rocks and very clean water it won't take but a couple weeks at most.

Good luck and nice labs.

Im going to buy a wild cought yellow lab. they are at my LFS for 35 bucks 2 to 3 inches. they are awsome looking really bright colors best looking yellow labs Ive ever seen does 35 soud fair for wild caught that size if they can sex them maybe ill get a male and female. I cant tell the difference in sex though.

I don't want to bust your bubble, but a wildcaught Labidochromis Caruleus is a rarity. If and if you can find one you will pay in excess of 200 dollar a piece.

Mostly these fish end up as breeding stock by the large breeders who have good connections. I know of 2 people that have confirmed wildcaught Yellows here in Holland.

I know there are breeders at the Tanganjika lake that breed the Yellow labidochromis on the beach of Tanganjika but you can hardly call them wildcaught anymore.
