they kept the location secret, and there was no point to try and take the fish back alive, it wont survive the journey, as most fisherman dun go prepared with oxygen tank, plastic and sedative med. So better CNR.

With a few of the comments left here, you can now understand why these endangered fish are illegal to own in the States.
 
I am sort of hesitant to believe this is wild caught perhaps tank raised then moved out for a photoshoot, just a thought.
 
The capture of wild specimens has no bearing on the prohibition of farm-raised, micro-chipped and certified animals. The US Gov. allows the importation of dozens of wild collected turtle species that are critically endangered or near extinction. The prohibition is a relic of a time before the captive farming of Asian aros was legal.
