Wild Convicts - Several Flavors

I'm currently keeping a breeding the following wild-type "convicts". It's amazing how each type differs in normal/breeding coloration, behavior, size, and breeding activities.

1) Amatitlania siquia F0 Lago Nicaragua (male)
2) Amatitlania "Honduran Red Point" F2 Rio Monga (females)
3) Amatitlania nigrofasciatus F1 Rio Chuloteca - breeding female
4) Amatitlania "Honduran Red Point" F2 Rio Monga (male with babies)
5) Amatitlania siquia F0 Lago Nicaragua (female)

Whoa, are these blue cichlids a convict? I wouldn't mind own some bright blue convicts.

They're Honduran Red Points from Rio Monga...."convicts" have been broken into 4 species...and HRPs are still not categorized as a species.

Ah, are some HRP looks like that bright blue ones? I was thinking about breeding these bright blue HRPs.

I've never seen Rio Monga HRP's that blue! That would be why I've never been interested in them. I have, for the longest time however, had my heart set on the Danli race of HRP which are the classic metallic powdery blue strain.

very nice cons, maybe wipe down the front of your tank and the pics would turn out more clear. just a suggestion, but nice fish anyway.
