Wild Convicts - Several Flavors

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Read the convict profile on the board, it should help you out,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not

What's interesting is that the - seemingly - only the really mature females of the HRPs get that sparkly blue coloration. The males have a lot of the (Monga) characteristic red...and younger females are not nearly as iridescent.

The male HRP has topped out at ~3" or so and the females maybe 2.5"...

I'll try to find more (bad) pics of the HRP.

Anyone have good side by side pics of danli and monga vareints of HRP?

Thanks,
Matt

I've never seen Rio Monga HRP's that blue! That would be why I've never been interested in them. I have, for the longest time however, had my heart set on the Danli race of HRP which are the classic metallic powdery blue strain.
More pix please!

Here are a couple more, better pictures:

1) Amatitlania siquia F1 Rio Claro Red fin (male fighting...they're usually much more purplish). 1,000 gold stars to anyone who can name the fish with whom he's fighting (hint: he's not from Honduras).

2) Amatitlania "Honduran Red Point" female (closeup of one of the fish above).
