I feed wild minnow and crayfish all the time, but like mount_prion said i'd quaratine em first. i have a 55G I leave all my stuff in for at lease 4-5 days.

I am certainly generalizing, but on the NANFA site are some great threads on collecting, equipment, treating, etc. The concensus there seems to be "no need to treat routinely". I am sure there are those there who disagree, but I couldnt get anyone to recommend a standard catch-all prophylactic med(s).
