Thought I'd share a pick (not mine) of a wild Rocio octofasciatum (Jack Dempsey) collected by an ACA member earlier this month in Belize.

He visted New River, Progresso Lagoon, Honey Camp Lagoon, Doubloon Lagoon and Crooked Tree...

I'm not sure how many he brought back but hopefully enough to breed and establish verifiable wild stock in the hobby!

It's funny how jacks are so common in the hobby yet finding wild specimens is nearly impossible. Hopefully these guys will be bred and circulated through the hobby. Are you planning on attaining a pair?

Matt I brought back 4 from Crooked Tree, I'm really interested also in these, to see how they will end up as adults......I don't know why but I get excited in wild really really common fish...

I'd like to see more pics too, and I think we all get excited to see fish that we see on a daily basis in the hobby in their natural habitat. Great stuff Matt
