Wild Koi??

Yes, all koi/carp have barbels.

You can't say you "guess so"-it's a fact that they have them. lol.
 
yeah those are just common carp, same species as koi, koi have just been bred from the common carp, also called magoi, for thousands of year to get color, wish I could find some babies only ones I see are all above 10 pounds
 
I saw a fully grown ornamental koi in a stream that feeds into lake michigan once...funny thing was the carp was trying to swim upstream unsucessfully.

I actually picked it up, and sent it into the lake. I doubt that he survived, he was in fairly rough condition.

I realize they are invasive, and that the color would breed out in a couple generations...but for some reason I still turned that fish around.

Never saw it again, and have killed hundreds of carp since...doubt that it made a net gain on me and my spear. :D

lol i wasn't meaning to have a tude haha its cool.. lol but get this i bought about 10 goldfish all orange then put some of my baby carp in there with them and there a 100% resemblance i was shocked to know all fins were the same . i mean i kno that a goldfish is a carp also and pritty much grow into a carp but i guess it 100%ed me on a forsure answer u guys are right thanks guys
