Wild Orino Update

Heres a couple pics of the Orinos that I got from Rapps a few weeks back. The first picture is of the day they arrived, the 2nd and 3rd were taken sunday. Fattening up nicely and starting to show alot more definition in their markings. Its been almost 3 weeks to the day. The 2nd picture is of the "alpha". Hes a real a-hole. He keeps the other Orino pinned down in the corner constantly. Makes it tuff at feeding time. The submissive one only comes out long enough to get a little food before it is shoved back in its corner. Survival of the fittest I guess. Im actually starting to think that the submissive one might be a female but at this point its still impossible to tell.

Yeah they are starting to settle in pretty good. The submissive one stays real faded, but ive seen it be more brilliant than the alpha at times. I guess he chooses to dim his lights a little so he doesnt get his ass kicked so much lol. You can kinda tell in these pics that their eyes are starting to go more red. Im gonna keep giving them frozen krill atleast once a day see if I can get them real nice. I got them to hit a pellet finally, but they just spit them back out. I guess a little progress is better than none.

Looking good man. I hope mine do that well in a couple weeks. How big were they when you got 'em?

3" or so. They have probably put on about 3/4 of an inch allready. The alpha is getting really wide across the back, hes gonna be a brute.

They eat good lol. Market shrimp, frozen krill, live bearers, bloodworms, glassworms, juv. crayfish, ghost shrimp. Ive recently bumped them to 3 meals a day. But I dont let them get stuffed. Just enough to show a little bulge. They only get live once a week, I let them pig out a little on that day . These were taken about 4 hours after a feeding of live ghost shrimp. In about 2-3 weeks im going to start pellet training. I think theyve gotten healthy enough now to do what it takes.
