okay i got these in about a month ago. They are pushing 3-4in now. I was told these were Wild Orinos. I was keeping a lid on these to let them grow to see if they turned out to be orinos, since they are to small to tell. But lately I'm hearing and seeing all these new orinos popping up and peeps are not sure if they are Orinos.

There are (4) Pbass in this grow out tank. (3) are the so called "wild" Orinos. (1) is a common mono for sure. See if you guys can tell the difference and pick out the mono. The Orinos have not shown red eye either yet. There is a difference since the mono was just bought about a week ago....

R1 this ones for you for comparison to your new ones. I am hoping they turn out to be Orinos, let alone be Wild ones. We'll see in the next coming months.

Please feel free to put in your two cents also if you think they are not Orinos...

as you know, they look even better in person. I just hope they turn out to be wat they are suppose to be. fingers crossed!!

I would have to say though, out of the (3) species of Cichlas I have the Monos have the fastest growing rate and the biggest appetite. The Orinos give them a run for their money though when feeding. The Zulies are wussies!!! lol:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

IMO wild caught orino's get there colors a lot quicker and at a smaller size. My avatar is my wild caught Ven Orino @ 4 to 5 inches.

I have to agree here, my wild orinos had alot more color at that size, they could either be not wild caught or possibly not orinos at all, only time will tell.

I've always thought that by 4", orinos should have already developed some spangling around their spots. But I agree with everyone, only time will tell.

Wow, they still make those acura heaters?

Or is it as old as i think it is?
They lose significant thermostat control as they age.
And the black spots on the element also fade with age

Sorry for the derail.

I guess the camera and lighting dont do these guys justice. 2 out of the 3 have a lot of color and I would say by next month the colors should really show. thats when they should be around the 4" mark or bigger. Would be nice if they were wild, but I just hope they are Orinos in the end.

BTW sick arse Orino!
