Wild Orinos? **WARNING***

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
only because the 20 i picked up everyone said they had the look of orino. and the stripe in the tail was a big one. i could be wrong, its a waiting game but hoping you got lucky too.

look at the black running to the back of that wild mono's tail, your doesnt have it on one of them, all 29 of mine dont have it. Not that i know what i'm talking about, i'm just trying to point something out that others have to me, take a look at my post.

no sorry's at all guys...i want to make sure myself. They came froma reputable vendor so I trust his word.

Ok I'm gonna admit it now. in this picture here. The top 2 are "Azuls". the Bottom guy is a "Mono". didnt want to admit that i have Azuls.

this is a different tank here with diffeent fish. this tank has 3 orinos and Mono. the difference in size compared to the fish in the other tank is an inch.

the one on top is a "Mono". the one on the bottom is an "Orino". the orino does not look like a mono to me in these pictures and in my tanks. if anything the markings on top look more like the Azul but with 3 dots instead of 2 stripes. So if anything maybe an Occel? but IMO not a mono....

Why not? Those are some beautiful azuls!

my camera sucks and I'm a bad cameraman. They have spangles, jus not around the dots. they have them on the fins and along the top and sides. whats the best way to take a pic in order to get the spangles to show up?

The Mono that lives in the tank with the Azuls did not look like the "so called Orinos" at that size. which was about a month ago. It looked like the small mono instead. really gold with dark gold/brown top. I was told that was either Occel/Mono and it turned out to be a Mono. I watched it grow closely since it was with the Zulies.

I thought it was Monos and Occels that looked similar at a juvie age not Mono's and Orino's. correct me if I'm wrong here....
