Got a wild Motoro 9 days ago. Dosed Prazi 3 days ago. It dosnt really move much and has not eaten anything. Is this fairly common situation with some Wilds?

id say turn your lights off and start offering live worms (cut crawlers or euro crawlers) 2-3 times a day or more until it breaks. can be a daunting task to offer live food almost every hr but it works eventually. had a larger 10-11" w.c. female who took a long time to come around and fatten up to my liking. first with lights off... then lights on... then finally onto cut fish 4-6 months later. keep at it multiple times a day and goodluck!

Ya been given him only nightcrawlers but Nada, will keep on offering. But not eating at all since I got her isn't out of the ordinary?

Are there other fish with her? If so I'd suggest removing other fish. Lights off. Make certain that the water is in check even if you're sure it's good do the tests. You could do a small salt dose it might just relax her a bit.

9 days I have had her for. She has half the tank to her self. Divided.. Ok thanks.

Is it pretty normal to not except food for this long from Wilds?

Definitely keep the lights off.
The Ray is bound to be really stressed and therefore not keen to feed, the lights will add to the stress.
Just my opinion, but I'd suggest having a tank with substrate within which a wild caught Ray can hide will also speed up the settling process and reduce stress. Stressed fish/animals often don't feed for quite some time.
Keep on offering night crawlers. May help to add one or two when you turn the house lights off and go to bed, rays are very active at night.
Good luck mate

My wild broke after 2 days, I think having another ray present helped expedite it. My guess is that lights on and no sand leaves him/her feeling very insecure. It might be presumptuous of me to say you don't have any sand though. My experience was with a marble pup, only tankmate was a hystrix hybrid. I think watching the hybrid eat helped her but that is little more than assumptions based on observation. I left lights off the entire process and offered worms 3-5 times a day. I fed very sparingly with each feeding and she quickly became a competitive eater. Lights were off for the first week, she was on frozen before she had eaten under lights. When I finally flicked the lights on it was as they went full Ray feeding frenzy mode, and she didn't seem bothered by them. Hope you get your motoro eating soon.

Ok thanks everyone, all really great advice, but just wondering if anyone has had a Ray that didn't eat for this long??
its just super frustrating. Would have never bought a wild if I knew it was this much of a pain in the ass. Not worth the head ache IMO. Vendor said she was eating worms but starting not to believe that
