The Rio Mags are my favorite of the blue umbees for sure as well. Time will tell how the gorrilus compete as they grow and develop. My pair are also a better pair than all of my jag pairs have been which I thought would never happen. Hopefully your male is as easy on your female as mine has been. Good luck with the spawn and selling your others too!

I am excited to see how the gorillus turn out, but when it comes to umbees nothing beats the mags imo. my male thus far has been very easy on the female "knock on wood" which was a big worry as im not a fan of dividing pairs.

Quick update: eggs have hatched and the female has them corralled up somewhere. should be swimming in a few days or so and will do a video when they start swimming. mom and dad are both going at me through the front of the tank gaining some attitude

UPDATE!!!

Heres the pair with free swimmers and they are starting to get some attitude. looks tobe around 30 or so free swimmers that i can see. so far theyre great parents, mom seems to be the main caregiver and the male just kinda stays out of the way but does a good job at going after me when i get too close UMBEEEEPPPOWWWERR!!!!!!!!!!!
