LOL... Ha ha. ok so im not good at determining the sex of wild males so to stand corrected these two are both females. they both laid eggs on their side of the divider. and hopefully here soon ill have a male

Same story with my Umbees a while back...thought I had a pair but both ended up laying eggs Did you end up getting a new male from Ira?

Sorry you got 2 females. There are a good amount of wild ones around so I'm guessing someone will end up with a dead female and maybe you can snatch up there male. If nothing else you can definately get your girls an F1 male.

I remember when Rapps got his wild umbees in everyone was going crazy because he said he couldn't sex them. There was a lot of talk of people saying he knew he had a bunch of females and there were a lot of angry folks. These guys are really hard to sex like Jeff said and I don't blame him for not trying to sell pairs. When I got my pair from Don they looked identical to me. I can tell a difference now as the male is starting to color up, but I couldn't tell a difference from there looks or there vents when I got them.
