Wild vs. Captive Tiger Oscars

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Finally Someone noticed :D

Little joke me and another member had.. It took two weeks !!!:D Which is longer than one hour.. My paypal is going to get 10.00 here shortly ;)

Kinda looks like a "wild". Not necessarily a wild-caught, but just a wild-colored O. Wilds I've had often had very little red other than a bright red ocellus.

Oh and those Rapps ones are awesome, I want one.

Thanks. I always thought he was more "natural" looking, which I enjoy.

Actually he does have them, my pics aren't great, and it's easier to see on one side than the other.

Yeah I couldn't really see it in your pic, but most all O's have it except for reds. Is your O's eyespot red, or at least more red than the rest of his markings? If so I say wild-phase but most likely not wild-caught.

Here's the best pic I can get of him with my crappy little camera

The eyespot at his tail has been getting more prominent the older he gets, and he's getting a bit more orange, but not much. he's 6" right now

Hmm looks like a wild one but the long finnage and wild coloration combo is unusual. Expect the eyespot to keep getting brighter.

Caught some feral oscars in the everglades. Brought them home but they didn't make it. There coloration was completely different that any I have seen before. I will try to find the pictures and upload.
