WildCaught Crenicichla Regani Tabajos

The male regani will be 4", but the female will be smaller than the other.

They are slow growers for the most part, however they can and will eat frozen mysis directly from your fingers.

I would be hesitant to put them with anything that could get twice their size.

Almond leafs will provide good cover for them, and will lower the pH of the tank. This could also help with spawning if WC's and lots of protein rich food are available.

Yeah I didnt think about the smaller female... Hmm, lets just hope there is enough hiding spots.

Its fall in Sweden now and leafs are easy to get now. Will collect some on saturday.

Also my lfs had small catfish caves looking like tree. I could get 5 of these and spred out in the tank providing further shelter.

Damnit. I havent seen the other female in two days and the other male looks pretty torn up.

"Gentle" pike not so much.

Well well, was planning on saving only one pair but I was hoping on saving the other two fishes...

The Tapajos race seems to be more aggressive to each other than the standard, or 'classic', regani are from what I've seen.

Seems so :/ The settled couple attacks everythinh that comes near their turf. Almost expecting fry soon!

Well I'll be damned. After three weeks not seeing one of the Creni. Regani females I got pretty suprised today to see both of them showing of and competing today. Glad shes back!

Wow. I must admit these small pikes have really charmed me. They are super aktive and Swims around the entire tank.

Whenever I put my hands in there they come out and check my hands out, was afraid theyd bite me first but theyre only checking me out.

Im pretty convinced I can start to handfeed this fish!

Extra interesting since they are Wc.

BUT however I Am looking for a Bigger option of pike.

That's great to hear Punkfredd. I'm sure you'll be able to have them eating from your fingers in no time.

Once they are used to your presence, they'll eat frozen mysis from your hand.
