Wilds arrived in rough shape

Usually if they come around initially, they will be ok. Well especially in your hands ;)

A few weeks ago a buddy sent me a box of discus. He accidentally put two of them in the same bag (said "that's why I had an extra bag!" When I told him, lol). One of the two lost almost all the fins and was practically dead. It was horizontal for a few days, but now I can't even tell which one it is in the group. Clean water, lower temperature and keep an eye on infections.
Happy to hear your successes. I'm going to keep up with the salt and fresh water regiment to bounce him back. I'll post updates along the way.

Wow! Also glad to hear they pulled through. How low did you bring the temperature down?

It was about 72-75. Just to slow down bacteria a little. Fish didn't like it but they will manage.

A friend of mine did the opposite - I think he cranked it up to 90-95 for a week. I could be wrong but that's what he told me....probably for parasites.
