They can survive in the wild and take pretty much any US fish just shy of southern Apex predators, they are very, hardy very aggressive, and eat a lot of food. In addition to being illegal they can run up to $10 a day to feed so they won't eat tank mates.

your location not withstanding, SH would not be a good tank mate for your set-up. but then again there are snakeheads and then there are snakeheads (i.e. small types and gigantic type). When small, can be aro food (or catfish food), when grown can shred your aro. imo, not a good fish to look at as it is not very active. usually dull colored but there are some impressive color variant (still boring as not very active) hmmm good to eat in general.
