if it is cyano then def make sure to keep eye out, they get bigger than carpintis and i think they are also more aggressive (i think they get 12in while carps only get 10in) but if it is female then she should stay smaller
Yes that's correct -- argentea is gone, Texas is here (to stay hopefully). I'm hoping that the sal and tex will reach an agreement, and also that the tex being female means the two of them + the fm will be ok in the tank for life....we'll see though!
Any comments on the identification? I think she's a cyanoguttatus and not a carpintis, but not 100% sure....
My guess would be carpintis. Heres a pic of a WC carpintis I used to have at about the same size. Aside from the markings on the face, they look the same to me. Plus, cyanos, at least that I have or have seen, dont have worming in the face like yours.
