Not a chance. Obama has claimed to be very pro environment...meaning MORE laws to protect endangered animals...making them further from the pet trade.

Good try though.

We may aswell try though, Somebody could writeup a letter encloseing the ideas of Savethearowana to local or federal politicians, such as breeding on a mass scale and such. i haven't visited in awhile so i don't know what the current case being stated is, but the idea of it doesn't hurt. IMO.

There are waaay too many issues to deal with before the government will even look at legalizing Asian Aros.

I doubt it will be lifted. We have a crappy economy. That's what the new President is worried about. Not a fish.

Breeding them in the US could help the economy though, high demand + high price = a lot of money!

I hope they do lift the ban so we can buy asian aros.

it could help the economy but does it help much as cigarette tax and drugs? get over it if you want one move out of the states otherwise be prepared to get slammed by USFWS

breeding asian arowana is possible after 3-5 years, do you think you can breed arowana within 1-2 years? assuming that these fish are already matured. you really need to wait a long time to have this fish legalized in your country.

this topic has been really frustrating over the years.....i dont see light any time soon....
