will birchir eat bichir?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wouldn't do it either, just to be on the safe side.

my tank is a mixed up between small and big, they are all getting along just fine, havent got any problem yet, there are senegals, albinos, long finned, and an ornate; also got a baby albino about 3", a big longfinned about 14", the ornate is about 8" I think,
will add endlicheri soon

first day i introduced my new 6-7 inch ornate to my tank she ate 2 of my 3 3" senegal babies.......in my opinion its a 50/50 chance that bichirs will or will not eat other bichirs

Even if bichir doesn't eat smaller one, your dats will eat the small bichir, wouldn't you agree? :D

That is not risky that is suicide. the endli will start with the albino at around 5'' then when it is 12'' it will eat the ornate and when it is 21'' the longfin will be gone.

right now your baby albino is already snack size for your other bichirs. seperate it as soon as possible. Once everything was alright between my 5'' delhezi and 7'' endli for a few months then last week I saw the tail of the delhizi outside the endli's mouth

Well none of my large size bichirs have eaten a small size bichirs and it's been more than 6+ years now that they been together. Bichirs size ranges in my tank 7-20 inches. Although my large bichirs will eat other non-bichirs that are more than 7".
