Hey guys, i was wondering whether true stonefish could be kept with these: Panther grouper, some kind of small catshark, a small kind of moray and a lion fish. Tank would be a 180 (6x2x2) also, would they all fit?

Also, would i be able to add some other fish that reach 10-12" to the mix? Would there be any worries about acidental envonmation on any other bottom dwellers like a small cat shark?

Cheers

i doubt it un less the shark attacks. if sizes work out at not over a foot and a half i rekon go fer it. moray could be a bit longer tahn a foot and a half.

Stone Like Fish - First off, a Panther Grouper will reach 3' and needs a tank way larger than 180gallons. Secondly no Shark will fit in a 180gallon for life. If you want to keep a Shark, you will need atleast 250gallons and then maybe you can think about buying the smallest species of Shark in the aquarium trader. Either the Coral or Marbled Cat Shark. So unless you can upgrade both the Grouper, and Shark are out of the question.

me either i've only heard of them getting like 1'8"-2'

Yeah, I think you're exagerating a bit there Brenden. Fishbase puts these guys at a max of a little over 2 feet.

Either way, it wouldnt live in a 180 comfortably its whole life.

well said, but for a shark, more like 500+ gallons depending on tank shape.

You wont want to put anything with the stonefish that would pick at it... ex triggers, angels
