given enough time out of the lfs and lemon tetras are quite beautiful. they pretty much always stay schooled if you have enough of them. I have 25 in my discus tank and they look a whole lot better than they look at the lfs. not many different species will school with each other. maybe cardinals and neons. my opinion would be to find more lemons.
it could happen. i used to have a single silver dollar that schooled with my pack of barbs. it was as if he was confused and thought he was a barb too
u can put most tetras together just dont get silver tip tetras as they are very aggresive bought 5 of them once and 1 managed to kill the others so i sentenced him 2 death by my yellow belly sliders! nice lil snack for em!!

I have redeye tetras and buenos aires tetras that schooled together as one.
But I agree with others, get more lemon tetras.
