Will frogs stay in my pond if I put them there?

I was thinking about putting 20-30 frogs raised from tadpoles in my pond (500g). But since the pond is outdoors would they stay? I can hear about 2-3 frogs in the pond every night I don't know how they got here but they don't seem to leave would this be the same case for my frogs? I know ill lose the weaklinks and the stupied ones but will the smart and strong ones be able to survive and maybe even breed in the pond? Am in south Cali so the winters here don't get to bad.

That's a very good question. I'm not a biologist and I've never even had a pet frog, but I don't think that frogs are long distance travelers. I'd THINK that most frogs tend to stay within a mile radius of the body of water from which they were born. Also, you can consider any other bodies of water that are near your pond. If you're the only pond or body of water within that mile radius, the chances are high that your frogs will stick around. Also, make sure that your pond is ideal for frog inhabitance. If all is good, they won't have a reason to leave.
 
So as tadpoles I should leave them in the pond? Am pretty sure there is enough food for them we have a lot of crickets around and I mean ALOT. Also behind the pond there is really tall ferns which they can hide in the stray frogs hide there to. Also what I find intresting is when I turn on the waterfall I have humming birds and those small small small brown birds and even squirls come but when its off they don't tend to come much are animals attractived to water sounds? If so then to make them stay more ill have it on 24/7. The reason I say this is maybe a little over a mile away is a creek the ducks hang around there but there's no water sound that could be herd from it but like u said they shouldn't go cause its very well over a mile away. I've had success with frogs in my pond. Leopard frogs and small toads to be exact. My children caught them at the local lake that is about 1/4 mile from my house and they never left....

Also, just make sure you don't mow the lawn near the pond or you'll be cleaning frog out of your propellar for a week! Seriously though this is why I didn't get toads for my backyard
 
Check your local and state laws because it might be illegal to release them into your pond. And I can almost guarantee they're a non-native species if you buy them in bulk. Vendors and pet stores usually sell Leopard, Bull or Green Frog tadpoles.
 
If I put them as Tad poles in the pond will they develop slower since its colder water? And thanks for the gardening advise ill tell the Gardner not to mow around the pond the pond doesn't have much grass around it so if the frog was In front of you you'd know. I kind of wanted to raise them in a tank then release them into the pond.
