My GT is doing great, eats well and steady growth rate. His fin length and shape are imo top notch. His overall color is really nice too except for one area that I hope he improve on.

His orange band on his tail. As he has been developing the tail band has not thickened up evenly. Its getting thicker on the tops and bottom but remain thin at the tip of the tail.

Anyone who has grown out a GT or how seen this before; do you know if this will remain? any chance of it evening out to be a more consistent thickness?

Any input would be great!

THANKS!

i will upload pictures from my phone in a min.

I must give him credit, he poses for the camera without much of a fuss. Such a great fish! He is approx 4" btw.

Awesome, was just checking. I've only grown out a handful of GTs in my time but the females I've had had a much rounder body shape than the males and looked a lot like yours. The body has some beautiful colors on yours! But unfortunately In my experience the bands on thier fins don't get much thicker with age. They might get a little more vibrant and bright, but not much thicker. Still a beautiful fish none the less though

while I do appreciate all the comments regarding how good looking my GT is, I am really looking for an answer from someone who might have experienced this or has an idea as to if its going to improve or not.

From my google searching and videos of adult GT males I cannot find one that has an never band on his tail. its either thick or thin but pretty uniform thickness throughout. so this is why I am asking.
