Its fun to exaggerate the truth sometimes, but lying about a garden you dont even have? sorry to say but you've already made an ass of yourself. Not to your co-workers, but atleast here on mfk.
i was "shooting the s***" with the they know that i don't have a garden.

they will win the bet anyway, they already have established gardens if they are like me
they not only use compost and cow or chicken manure along with commercial ferts. fish water is great on indoor plants and flower beds but does nothing for large gardens
they just started their gardens last year, so they only have one harvest on me. i'm not that stupid to try and beat someone that has a garden established for years. theirs is still new and these guys love a little friendly competition. my gardes isn't going to be massive just a small plot max size 15'x15'. as of now i'm thinking 10'x10'. but the larger the better chance of getting a good yeild.

You gotta love Amsterdam.

I think mixing fertilizers to get the best for each plant works the best. Feeding hard water and fertilizer, with a high PH to a tomato is going is going to make for one poor tomato. Sure it will grow but the old timers that actually garden will have won the bet.
actually they are only going to be watered once a week with my "fish water" the rest of the week it'll be regular water. not to worry about a high pH mater!

not going down without a fight, not a quitter, never have been, never will be. i think i'll do ok i found a good plot of land wher the sun comes up and is right on it. when it's noon it's shaded. in the after noon it gets some more good sun. the soil is really good for a garden, looking foreward to the first frost.
