Hi I have a 20g high and my convicts spawned almost 2 weeks ago. Their are close to a hundred babies. They are free swimming now. The parents are fierce defenders and seem to be good parents. I have a South American Bumblebee Catish in this tank will he eat the babies? Or do you think the parents will fend him off?

The male has very long fins and a big nuchal hump. He is about 2". The female Is 1.5". Their is a third convict in this tank, male, and he hides 24/7 and is chased away as soon as they see him.

I ask cuz the lights are going out in 49 minutes and then the catfish will be coming out of hiding shortly thereafter. I don't mind if some get eaten as long as a few remain.

Any fish will eat fry no matter what they are... That's why we set up breeders in tanks by themselves to try to remove that from the equation as much as possible.
