If you're planning to mix the fish anyway and aren't worried about quarantine issues, just take filter media from the Uaru/severum tank and put it in the filter of the discus tank. I'm assuming your tank isn't cycled because the filters aren't established? This would help the filter in the discus tank along and you wouldn't need to house them together.
A daily water change in the discus tank along with some Prime/Safe at a double dose should keep things fine until the filter catches up, which should only take a day or two with seeded media.
