will pbass eat smaller pbass???

maybe i'm going off on a wild tangent.. or speaking where i shouldn't..

but i believe the difference in the size of dancingpill's peacock bass just isn't big enough to worry about. in my 75 gal tank i've got 5 c.ocellaris that are about 3 inches and i just bought 3 c.temensis that are just 1.5 - 2 inches.. and they are all getting along fine.. the bigger ones certainly aren't able to eat the little ones, there just isn't a big enough size difference.

i would NOT put any of these babies in with Dozer, my 8 inch c. ocellaris. He most certainly could eat the tems without thinking hard about it and he might even be able to chew up one of the ocellaris dudes.

ive had just heard that they know there own kind..And a peacock bass isnt related whatsoever to the LMB and SMB family, they are a cichlid's

i had a 4 inch pbass in a tank alone, and a 1.5 incher in the same tank..but in a breeder net..it jumped out one night..next morning they where schooling together..i figured what the hel..and let the smaller one say with the bigger one, the 4 incher is now almost 10 inches, and the 1 incher is 6 inches and they are still together..im not saying it's ok..they just know their own like sabotage said.

a one or two inch size difference is nothing, the larger pea would never be able to swallow it. its safe, i say do it

IME Most preds will eat it if they can catch it.
