Will my red breasted sunfish eat 2-3 Amano shrimp that I plan to add?

yeah i bet they will. but if you have lots of cover they may hide

It's a planted tank so.. lots of cover.

Do you really think there's enough cover in a box of water? Sunfish hunt in the grasses of lake and pond shallow areas since they also have to hide from predators while they're on the hunt themselves.

Redbreast sunfish has quite large mouth and they do feed on shrimps and crayfish in the wild.

well i had 3 ghost shrimp last in my yellow perch tank for about 4 weeks,they are very smart and seem to only move about when the fish arent around.

I'll use shrimp as live food when he's bigger then... Nothing like watching a live feeding!

Stick with ghost shrimps, they are cheaper than Amano shrimps.
