Just use a rubberband and attach the jf to a rock--you can set it on the bottom then. Don't bury it in the substrate though--the roots will rot. Or you can jam the rock into a crevise of a decoration or whatever you have in there and the plant will stick out--look good and be easy for them to get to.

My black barred red hooks will eat anything green. Might take a few days though but they will attack it once they figure out what it is. Silver dollars are not the sharpest tool in the shed but one of my favorite fish.
