Yeah not sure on assassins but pretty sure mine will eat ramshorn if they get hungry enough. I noticed that when I had my teug, polli, and butt in the grow out together. I put a hand full of ramshorns in the tank with them just to get any missed food and I kept finding empty shells, not crushed just empty. I have a large breeding population in the sump but in the 180 im lucky if I find 2 that have made it to adult size.
