Will These End Up As Food?

Hi All,

Somebody close to me is selling some 4" Myleus schomburgkii which I have always quite fancied as a mid level fish to go with my rays, however being 4" I wondered if they would be too small and end up as ray snacks? I have the below rays in the tank currently.

1 x 13" Male Motoro
1 x 12" Female Motoro

Maybe its worth buying a couple of small cheap n nasty fish first and just see if they eat them? have never fed them live fish before thats all

Every chance your rays will have a go, most of the fish that I lost to rays didnt even end up as food, rays just like to hunt imo

i had a shoal of 14 then 10 and 3 of them lost a eye each

I started with 22. Now I have 10. One ray in particular ate most of then and was removed. No deaths since. They were about 4-5".

My female motoro would kill for sport she is just mean but my mm female won't touch them unless she can eat them. I agree it's a gamble but my money's on them not making it

The myleus grow quick and are ravenous feeders...

Its a risk... I know..

A while ago... I added some small TFs about 3-4 inch.. it was my big indo that started killing and eating them...
But My rays were probably no more than 6-7 inch...
