I agree, otherwise you will have a bunch of mad fish, or worse, dead fish.

stock up on rosey's and guppies for the time being, feed the feeders some high quality flakes before putting them in. Also, before putting in the feeders, feed your fish so they are full, then put the feeders in and they should be in there for about 3 days if you get enough so your fish will only be without food for about 5 days, which is perfectly fine, probably be good for the water too because of all the waste and feeding, this will allow the fitration to catch up on the bio load......

Oh, then feed them dry food when you get back to break the Pike of it's live and froozen only needs....

i have had mine last for 7-10 with minimal damage to the tank and fish but definitely feed them lots before you leave and use the plants for additional hiding. good luck
