WILL THEY SHOAL?

i have black neons with lemons and they shoal and split of into there own groups it makes for nice color contrast and good activity in the tank

Given a happy healthy home they are comfortable with, No they won't shoal together. Toss any amount of variables other then ideal conditions. Of course they will. they are prey animals and the larger the group the safer per individual it is.

I doubt it. I used to keep a mixed schoal of glo-light and neon tetras and that worked, but this seems like a relatively diverse group. Anything's possible though

usually, like species will stick together. but dissimilar species usually won't.

there are always exceptions though.

the fact that they are all tetras doesn't really seem to matter.

most of the time, you would get clumps of the same species shoaling together with a mix like that..rather than the whole group of different tetras schooling.

No!!

i have in 29g planted tank
3 neon tetra
4 black tetra
3 cardinal tetra

They do not shoal at all, they stick to their own kind. =D
