Went to a Petsuppliesplus to see if fish were still on sale. So after scanning all aquariums looking for mainly something odd I glanced in a aquarium with Electric Blue Acara's I noticed 2 of them defending a corner. So not wanting them to be split up I was allowed to catch them myself lol. My question is did I mess up their bond by removing from the aquarium.

More than likely they will pair up again if they are the only eba imo. Especially once they've had their pick from a group it lasts, and acara aren't exactly shy breeders to begin with. Most of the problems I see are adding a cichlid pair to a cichlid community, where a female or male might find a more desireable suitor. The funny ones are when they cross breed instead.

No,they should pair back up just fine.
I have bought fish that had paired up in store before. They have always got back into it once introduced to the home aquarium.

I paid $30 for them well worth it to keep them together.:) I was always procrastinating about getting a couple of EBA for about 2years .

Well when I released them in the aquarium before getting ready for work, noticed they were following each other once settled. Placed the EBA's in a 20 long that is occupied by 2 BNP's and a recovered Julii cory, aquarium has been setup over 5yrs lol. Got home from work and the two are still inseparable.
