well i threw a feeder in there the same size as the p-bass i saw him go for it had it in his mouth but could not choke it down.....

i think i'm either gonna look for a smaller arrow or wait it out....

and Zoo-- I think your right about the cons ... i have a 55,20 and 10 all set-up to make babies to save what $20 a month not to mention time and feeding .... i think they are rhom food.......

I cannot tell how large they are.

I would say that Arows are Stealthy hunters as well.. And like a Gar it matters not how fast the prey swims as they are "See I am not dangerous" Kinda hunters and then BLAM!!! "I lied" :D

I'm trying to make armatus food...... this may be more trouble than its worth though

A breeding par of Midas or labiatus would grow faster :D Thats my next project..

A 20 gallon will not hurt your cichla i grew mine out in a 18 tall til they were 5" so my O would not eat them :) Only take a month or two provided you feed live food :)

they will grow quickest on live food ^

i have been able to offer them live food... and they are eating them to the point where the tail is still hanging out of their mouth... I think they are gonna be good to go here in about 2-3 wks.... :headbang2

hey,
i think he is going to be food but your cichla how long do you have him his eye is too big for the rest of his body you must feed them living things as much as possible
