I still have this confusion... some say sand is easier to clean than gravel.... with my gravel tank i just put in my vaccum and done...my next tank is sand... so still a bit worried...

I think sand particles kill the filter faster than gravel though?

Gravel trapes waste, so you have to vacuum it thoroughly. Sand is much smaller, so debris just sits on top. Makes it very very easy to remove poop. I take my Fahaka's poop out with a net every second day or so.

thanks guys it will be Roman royal sand I think that's what it is called its made especially 4 fish one more thing its a 90 gal tank with ......
