ok well i have been think about this mix a buttikoferi,peacock bass,and a fire eel, in a 55 gal who thinks this will work and why or why not

tilapia will be tight in a 55g and will destroy everything in the tank. i wouldnt put my shoal of 6" piranhas in with my tilapia. as an example he broke both plastic, live and silk plants, 4 power heads, 3 filters, and recently his first water heater
BTW my avatar he is about 11" and can grow close to 16" for a 12" deep tank, he may be a little large(but definately amusing)
The butti and esp the Pbass will get rather big for that tank. I predict the eel gets ate first, then the Pbass. My LFS has a butti that has been bought at least six times, fat little bugger.
ya my butti was sold 4 times before because they look cool, but i was told he has killed close to a dozen oscars and people kept bringing him back
yeah the fish all will be babys and only staying in the 55gal tank intill they get about 6 or 7 ins then ill move then into my 125 gal
The butti of my story started getting brought back at 4-5". Hey Birch, does your butti tolerate any tank mates?
my buddy 12-13 inches. had him in with a jag festae blue moorii 4 bichirs for about 3 yrs. he was a peaceful butti and just lately started to get a little mean. i gave him to my friend because if he killed my festae i would have thrown that sucker out in the snow.
